Creator programme terms

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Welcome to the Marlo Creator Programme (the “Programme”). These terms set out how the Programme works and what we expect from each other. “Marlo”, “we” and “us” means Marlo Health Ltd, registered in England, of 128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. “You” means the creator taking part.

By applying to the Programme, or by sharing your Marlo code or link, you agree to these terms. They sit alongside our terms of service and privacy policy. The Programme is run through UpPromote, our affiliate platform, and UpPromote’s own terms apply to your use of its dashboard.

1. Who can join

To take part you must:

  • be 18 or over and live in the UK;
  • have at least one active, public channel where you share content, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, a blog or a newsletter;
  • not be promoting another dog supplement brand while you’re in the Programme; and
  • follow these terms and the law, including the UK advertising rules in section 7.

We review every application ourselves. We may turn down an application, or a chosen code, at our discretion.

2. Your account

Once approved, you’ll have a creator dashboard on UpPromote with your code, your link, your sales and your earnings. Keep your login safe, and keep your payout details up to date, because we can only pay you once they’re complete.

3. Your code and link

  • Your code. You choose your code when you apply, for example your handle. It gives your followers an extra 10% off their first subscription order, on top of the plan’s first-order saving: up to 46% off the full price, on the 12-week plan. Codes can’t be changed once issued, because changing one would break every post that mentions it. If you really need a new one, email us and we’ll retire the old code.
  • Your link. Your link applies your code automatically. You can edit its ending in your dashboard to match your code; please do that before you start posting, because changing it later breaks links you’ve already shared.
  • Tracking. A sale is credited to you when the customer uses your code, or buys within 30 days of clicking your link. If a customer uses one creator’s code and another creator’s link, the code wins. Tracking can fail for reasons outside our control, such as ad blockers or cleared cookies, and we can’t pay on sales we can’t track.

4. What you earn

You earn a flat amount for every Qualifying Sale, set by your tier:

Tier How you get there You earn
Starter Where everyone starts £10 a sale
Rising 10 confirmed sales £12 a sale
Top performer 20 confirmed sales £15 a sale
Elite 50 confirmed sales £20 a sale

Tiers count your confirmed sales since you joined, and move you up automatically. A new rate applies to sales made after you reach the tier; earlier sales aren’t re-rated. We may also invite creators into tiers that aren’t listed here. Perks that come with a tier, such as free product or early access, are subject to availability.

A Qualifying Sale is a new customer’s first subscription order on marlohealth.com, correctly tracked to your code or link. These don’t count:

  • subscription renewals, one-off purchases and orders from returning customers;
  • orders placed by you, or by anyone in your household;
  • cancelled, refunded or charged-back orders; and
  • orders that come through voucher or deal sites, spam, bots or anything else that breaks section 8.

We may change rates, tiers or what counts as a Qualifying Sale, as set out in section 15. Changes never apply to sales you’ve already made.

5. Getting paid

  • Confirmation. Each sale is confirmed 35 days after the order, once our refund window has passed. If an order is refunded or charged back, its commission is removed or reduced.
  • When. Confirmed commission is paid monthly, once your balance reaches £20. Smaller balances roll over and don’t expire.
  • How. We pay in pounds sterling by PayPal or bank transfer, using the details in your dashboard. Your provider may charge its own fees.
  • Tax. You’re responsible for declaring your earnings to HMRC and paying any tax due. If you’re VAT-registered, tell us and we’ll take your VAT invoice.
  • Corrections. If we pay commission that later turns out not to be due, we may deduct it from future payments.

6. Free product

When you’re approved we’ll usually send MD1™ for your own dog, so your content comes from real experience. Free product is a thank-you, not payment, and you don’t have to post about it. Please read the suitability notes in section 7 before you start feeding it.

7. Content and advertising rules

We want your content to sound like you. Within that, please:

  • Be honest. Only talk about what you’ve genuinely seen in your own dog. We’ll never ask you to say something you don’t believe.
  • Follow “How to talk about MD1™” below. MD1™ is a food supplement, not a medicine. Never say it treats, cures or prevents a health problem, and never name a medical condition as something it helped.
  • Describe the offer accurately. Up to 46% off a new customer’s first subscription order with your code. Always say “up to”: the full 46% is only on the 12-week plan.
  • Label it as an ad. Because you earn commission, your posts are advertising under the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (the CAP Code) and consumer protection law. Put “#ad” or “Ad” at the start of every post, story and caption, or use the platform’s paid partnership label, and say it out loud in videos. Don’t hide it among other hashtags or behind “more”. See the ASA’s guide for influencers.
  • Put your dog first. Follow the feeding guide on the pack. Don’t show your dog distressed or in danger, or encourage anything that could harm a dog. MD1™ isn’t suitable for dogs under 12 weeks, dogs that are pregnant or nursing, dogs allergic or sensitive to chicken or molluscs, or dogs with thyroid issues or a condition being managed by a vet. If you’re unsure, check with your vet first. If your dog has any upset, stop feeding MD1™, speak to your vet and let us know.
  • Leave other brands out. Don’t name or criticise other brands, or knock anyone’s choice of dog food.
  • Keep it clean. No content that’s hateful, explicit, violent, illegal or likely to bring Marlo into disrepute.

If you’re a vet, veterinary nurse or other animal professional, your professional code of conduct applies on top of these terms. Please don’t present your content as professional advice about a particular dog.

If we ask you to correct or remove a post that breaks these rules, please do so within 48 hours.

8. Things you must not do

These are serious breaches. We may withhold commission earned through them and end your place in the Programme straight away:

  • posting your code or link on voucher, coupon, cashback or deal sites, or browser extensions;
  • using your own code or link to buy for yourself or your household;
  • offering people cash or rewards from your commission to use your code;
  • spam, bots, fake accounts, fake reviews or any other way of faking clicks, sales or engagement;
  • accounts, handles, websites or domains that look like Marlo’s own, or suggest you are Marlo; and
  • reselling MD1™.

9. Paid advertising

  • Don’t run paid ads to promote Marlo or your code without our written approval first. That covers paid search, paid social and any other paid media.
  • Never bid on search terms containing “Marlo”, “Marlo Health” or “MD1”, alone or with words like code, discount, voucher, deal or review.
  • If we approve paid ads, the same content rules apply to the ad copy, and the ad must not link straight to marlohealth.com or use your Marlo link as its destination.
  • We may ask to run your posts as partnership ads from your account. That always needs your agreement and is arranged separately.

10. Our brand and your content

We give you a non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Marlo name, logo and the images we share with you, only to promote MD1™ under these terms. Please don’t alter our logo or use it in paid ads without approval.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reshare your posts about Marlo on our own website, emails and social channels, with credit to you, for as long as they remain public on your channel and for 12 months after you leave the Programme. Using your content in paid ads, or editing it into new material, needs your separate agreement.

11. Confidentiality

We may share things with you that aren’t public yet, such as launches, offers or results. Please keep them to yourself until we announce them.

12. Your data

We use the details you give us, such as your name, contact details, channels and payout details, to run the Programme, as described in our privacy policy. UpPromote processes them for us. If you’re sent anyone’s personal data through the Programme, you must handle it lawfully and only for the Programme.

13. Our relationship

You take part as an independent creator, not as our employee, agent or partner. You can’t make commitments on our behalf, and you’re responsible for your own costs and taxes.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited. Otherwise, neither of us is liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the commission paid to you in the six months before the claim. You’re responsible for losses we suffer because your content or conduct breaks these terms or the law.

15. Changes and leaving

  • Changes. We may update these terms, rates or tiers. We’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in your dashboard before a change that affects your earnings. If you keep taking part after the change, you accept it.
  • Leaving. You can leave at any time by emailing us.
  • Ending your place. We may end your place in the Programme with 14 days’ notice, or immediately if you seriously break these terms.
  • What happens next. Your code and link stop working. We’ll pay commission on Qualifying Sales made before your place ended, once confirmed, unless it was earned by breaking these terms. You don’t need to delete old posts unless we ask, but please stop promoting your code.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.

17. Contact

How to talk about MD1™

The best content describes what you’ve actually seen in your own dog, as vividly and specifically as you like. That’s what your followers trust. The one line we can’t cross is saying MD1™ treated, cured or prevented a health problem, because it’s a food supplement, not a medicine. Aim for the middle column.

Topic Too cautious Aim for this Over the line
Poos “It supports healthy digestion” “His poos went from soft to picture-perfect in about four days” “It cured his diarrhoea”
Scooting “It supports natural anal gland emptying” “Firmer poos, and I’ve noticed a lot less scooting on the rug” “It sorted his anal glands” or “No more trips to get them emptied”
Energy “It supports overall wellbeing” “She’s been bouncing round like a puppy all week” “It’s given him his mobility back”
Teeth “It contains kelp” “It’s got the seaweed that’s been studied in dogs for plaque and tartar” “It gets rid of tartar” or “It cleaned his teeth”
Joints “It supports joints” “Green-lipped mussel, glucosamine and chondroitin, all in one scoop” “It’s helped his arthritis”
Before MD1™ “He had some tummy issues” “I was picking up mush twice a day” “He had IBS”, or any diagnosis
Fussy eaters “Most dogs like the taste” “She licked the bowl clean, and she never does that with tablets” “Every dog loves it”
Vets Not mentioning vets at all “If your dog has a health condition, check with your vet first” “Vet-approved” or “Vets recommend it”
The offer “There’s a discount” “Up to 46% off your first subscription order with my code BELLA” “46% off everything” or “Half price”

A few more rules:

  • Never name a medical condition, or say MD1™ treats, cures, prevents or fixes anything.
  • Only talk about changes you’ve genuinely seen in your own dog, and don’t promise other dogs will see the same.
  • Joints and coat take weeks, not days. Talk about early changes honestly, and save the rest for later updates.
  • Don’t name or criticise other brands.

Facts you can use:

  • Chicken bone broth is the biggest ingredient, over a third of every scoop.
  • 16 ingredients, and every single dose is listed on the pack.
  • Two probiotic strains, around a billion of each per scoop, with pumpkin and chicory root fibre alongside.
  • Green-lipped mussel, glucosamine and chondroitin to support joints.
  • UC-II collagen at 10mg, the amount used in the published canine research.
  • Kelp, included to support clean teeth.
  • Milk thistle for the liver, and astaxanthin from algae for skin and coat.
  • One scoop on your dog’s food covers gut, joints, skin and coat, teeth, liver and immunity.
