Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin
A potent carotenoid antioxidant that helps neutralise oxidative stress. Emerging animal research suggests astaxanthin supports joint health and cellular protection by modulating inflammatory pathways.
Blueberry Extract
Blueberry Extract
Rich in anthocyanins, powerful plant antioxidants that support vascular and cellular health. Research in animals shows bilberry compounds help combat oxidative stress and support visual and immune function.
Calsprin® Bacillus velezensis (Probiotic)
Calsprin® Bacillus velezensis (Probiotic)
A spore-forming probiotic designed for stability and survivability through the digestive tract. Bacillus species have demonstrated benefits in improving nutrient digestibility and immune markers in dogs in controlled feeding studies.
Chicken Bone Broth Powder
Chicken Bone Broth Powder
Naturally rich in collagen peptides, amino acids and minerals that support connective tissue and gut integrity. Bone-derived collagen has been shown to support joint structure and digestive health through glycine and proline content.
Chondroitin Sulphate (Avian 90%)
Chondroitin Sulphate (Avian 90%)
A key cartilage component that helps maintain joint cushioning and resilience. Veterinary studies indicate that chondroitin, particularly when combined with glucosamine, supports joint comfort and mobility in dogs with degenerative joint changes.
Coconut MCT Oil (Caprylic C8)
Coconut MCT Oil (Caprylic C8)
Rapidly absorbed medium-chain triglycerides that provide an efficient alternative fuel source. Studies suggest MCTs may support cognitive function and metabolic health in ageing dogs.
Enterococcus faecium (Probiotic)
Enterococcus faecium (Probiotic)
A clinically researched probiotic strain widely used in canine nutrition to support digestive balance. Studies in dogs show E. faecium can improve stool quality and support recovery from gastrointestinal disturbance by stabilising gut microbial populations.
Fish Oil (Omega-3; EPA/DHA)
Fish Oil (Omega-3; EPA/DHA)
Highly concentrated EPA and DHA to support anti-inflammatory pathways. Controlled studies in dogs show omega-3 supplementation can improve mobility, coat quality and inflammatory markers associated with joint disease.
Glucosamine HCl
Glucosamine HCl
A structural precursor for glycosaminoglycans, essential components of cartilage. Clinical trials in dogs have shown glucosamine supplementation can improve mobility scores and reduce signs of osteoarthritis over time.
Green Lipped Mussel (Defatted)
Green Lipped Mussel (Defatted)
A natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, glycosaminoglycans and bioactive lipids. Multiple veterinary trials show green-lipped mussel supplementation can improve joint flexibility and reduce discomfort in dogs with osteoarthritis.
Inulin (Chicory Root Fibre)
Inulin (Chicory Root Fibre)
A well-studied prebiotic fibre that selectively feeds beneficial gut bacteria. Research demonstrates that inulin increases short-chain fatty acid production, particularly butyrate, which supports intestinal barrier integrity and immune modulation.
L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine
Essential for transporting fatty acids into mitochondria for energy production. Research in dogs shows L-carnitine supports lean muscle mass and metabolic efficiency, particularly in active or weight-managed dogs.
Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum (PHGG)
Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum (PHGG)
A highly fermentable, low-viscosity fibre that supports beneficial gut bacteria and improves stool consistency. Clinical studies in humans show PHGG increases bifidobacteria and improves digestive comfort, and emerging veterinary research supports its role in promoting healthy microbiome diversity in dogs.
Pumpkin Fruit Whole Powder
Pumpkin Fruit Whole Powder
A natural source of soluble and insoluble fibre that supports stool regularity. Pumpkin has long been used in veterinary nutrition to help normalise digestive transit and maintain healthy bowel function.
Spirulina Powder
Spirulina Powder
A nutrient-dense microalgae rich in protein, antioxidants and phytonutrients. Research in dogs indicates spirulina supplementation may support immune response and reduce oxidative stress markers.
Taurine
Taurine
An essential amino acid for cardiovascular and retinal health in dogs. Taurine plays a critical role in cellular energy balance and has been studied extensively for its importance in canine heart function.
UC-II® (Undenatured Type II Collagen)
UC-II® (Undenatured Type II Collagen)
Undenatured type II collagen shown in canine studies to support joint comfort through immune-mediated pathways. Research in dogs demonstrates significant improvements in mobility and activity levels compared to placebo.

Questions?

  • What is MD1™ ?

MD1™ (Marlo Daily) is a daily powder supplement for dogs containing 16 science-backed functional ingredients. It's designed to be the one daily essential your dog needs, covering gut health, joint support, immune function and longevity in a single scoop. Think of it as the daily foundation for your dog's health, not a targeted fix for one thing.

  • Why powder instead of soft chews or capsules?

Soft chews contain up to 70% inactive ingredients: binders, fillers and palatability agents that leave very little room for what actually does something. Powder lets us hit functional doses across 16 ingredients without compromise. You get more of what works, none of what doesn't.

  • What are the 16 ingredients and what do they do?
  • Are the ingredients clinically dosed?

Where the clinical evidence supports it, yes. We formulate to the doses used in the studies that established each ingredient's efficacy, not the trace amounts that look good on a label but don't do much in practice. A small number of ingredients are included at levels supported by years of anecdotal use in veterinary nutrition rather than formal clinical trials. We're transparent about which is which on our ingredients page.

  • Is MD1™ safe for all dogs?

MD1™ is formulated for adult dogs. The feeding guide scales by weight up to a maximum of 4 scoops daily. If your dog has a specific health condition, is pregnant or is on medication, check with your vet first, as you would with any supplement.

  • Where is MD1™ made?

In the UK, in partnership with one of the world's leading veterinary supplement manufacturers. Every formula goes through review by a team of veterinary nutritionists and formulation scientists before it gets made. For us that meant our ingredient choices, dosing rationale and quality standards being stress-tested by people who spend their careers in this field. EFSA-approved ingredients, UK-manufactured, no corners cut.

  • How do I give it to my dog?

Mix one level scoop (4.5g) per 10kg of body weight into their food daily. It works as a dry topper or mix with a little warm water to make a gravy. Most dogs prefer the gravy method.

  • Does my dog need to adjust to it?

We recommend starting at half the recommended amount for the first week. This gives their gut time to settle, which is particularly relevant for dogs with sensitive stomachs. From day 8, move to the full serving.

  • How long will one pouch last?

It depends on your dog's weight. Our subscription pricing is structured to give you a monthly supply for your dog's size, so you're always getting the right amount at the right price.

  • How should I store it?

Once opened, store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate to preserve freshness. Best used within 90 days of opening. We include a branded forever tin with first orders, made for exactly this purpose.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No minimum term, no cancellation fee. We'd rather earn your loyalty through results. Every first order also comes with a 90-day money back guarantee, so if you're not happy, neither are we.

  • What is the Founding Members programme?

The first 100 customers to pre-order become Founding Members and receive 25% off for their first three months. It's our way of recognising the people who backed us before the shelves were stocked.

  • When will my order ship?

We're in production now with first shipments expected on 1st June 2026. You won't be charged for the second month of your subscription until 1st July 2026.

  • Why pre-order rather than wait?

Founding Member pricing is 25% off your first three months and it disappears once all 100 spots are taken. It won't come back at launch. Beyond the discount, this is a small founder-led brand built by dog owners for dog owners. The first 100 customers aren't just early buyers, they're the people who shape what Marlo becomes. That means direct access to us, genuine influence over where the brand goes, and being part of something from the very beginning rather than just another subscriber down the line.

  • Who's behind this?

MD1™ was created by Aaron Magnus-Moore, after failing to find a properly dosed daily supplement for his working line Golden Retriever, Marlo. The brand is named after him. The frustration was real and the product is the answer to it. The formula was developed in consultation with leading veterinary nutritionists and formulation scientists, so while the motivation was personal, the science behind it isn't.

  • How is MD1™ different from what's already on the market?

Most pet supplements do one thing: joints, or gut, or coat. MD1™ is a daily comprehensive, the equivalent of replacing a shelf of single-benefit products with one scoop. The closest human equivalent is AG1. That category doesn't yet exist for dogs. We're building it.

  • Why should I trust the formula?

Every ingredient is EFSA-approved, the product is manufactured in the UK and we publish the full ingredient list with exact dosages. No proprietary blends, no hidden quantities. If you want to cross-check the researcg behind any ingredient, we'll share the studies. Transparency isn't a marketing word for us; it's how we built the formula.
