Refer a Friend terms

The Refer a Friend scheme is run by Marlo Health Ltd (“Marlo”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17145430), of 128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. Our privacy policy explains how we use personal data to run it.
If you refer a friend
Who can refer. You can refer friends if you’re 18 or over, live in the UK and have paid for an order on marlohealth.com. We set you up with your own referral link and code automatically after your first paid order, so there’s nothing to sign up for.
Creators and affiliates paid through our creator programme are covered by the creator programme terms, not these ones.
How a referral counts. A referral counts when all of these happen:
- A friend who has never ordered from Marlo before places their first order using your link, or enters your code at checkout.
- That order starts an MD1™ subscription.
- The subscription renews and the first renewal payment goes through. That renewal must include MD1™, or another product we name as qualifying on this page.
If your friend cancels before their first renewal, or the first renewal isn’t paid, the referral won’t count. Other orders, such as one-off purchases or a second subscription, don’t count towards a referral.
Your link remembers your friend for 30 days after they first click it. Your code works whenever your friend enters it at checkout.
What you get. One reward for every referral that counts. See “Your reward” below.
Keeping you updated. We’ll email you when a friend uses your link or code, and again when your reward is ready to open. We won’t tell you who your friend is, what they ordered or anything else about their account.
If a friend invites you
Who can use a referral. You can use a friend’s link or code if you’re 18 or over, live in the UK and have never ordered from Marlo before.
What you get. An extra 10% off your first MD1™ subscription order, on top of the plan’s first-order saving: up to 46% off the full price, on the 12-week plan. The discount applies to that first order only and can’t be combined with any other discount code. If you use a friend’s link or code, it replaces any other code you’ve added.
Your friend’s reward. When your subscription renews for the first time, your friend gets their reward. You don’t need to do anything.
Your reward
Each reward is chosen at random when the referral counts, from this table:

- Every reward is chosen independently. Your chances are the same for every referral, however many rewards you’ve had before.
- The reward is decided when the referral counts, using a secure random number generator. Opening it shows you what it is; how or when you open it doesn’t change the result.
- We’ll email you a link to open your reward. Rewards don’t expire, and if you have more than one waiting you can open them one after another.
Marlo credit is given as soon as you open your reward:
- If you have an active Marlo subscription, it comes off your next subscription order. We add it to your subscription as a single-use discount code, so there’s nothing for you to do. If you have more than one subscription, it goes on the one that renews first. If we can’t add it, we’ll show you the code to enter yourself in your account or at checkout.
- If you don’t have an active subscription, it’s added as store credit to the Marlo account for the email address you shop with. Sign in at checkout on marlohealth.com to use it.
If an order costs less than your credit, the rest isn’t carried over. Marlo credit has no cash value, can’t be exchanged or transferred, and doesn’t expire.
Cash is paid through our payouts partner, Tremendous, which lets you choose how to receive it, for example by bank transfer. We’ll email you within 30 days of you opening your reward. Before paying, we may ask you to confirm your details so we can make sure the referral is genuine.
The small print (in normal size)
- By sharing your link or code, or using someone else’s, you agree to these terms.
- Fair use. Referrals are for people you know. You can’t refer yourself, someone at your address, or someone using your payment card, email address or phone number. You can’t promote your link or code through paid advertising, by bidding on search terms that include “Marlo” or “MD1”, on voucher or deal websites, or by sending unsolicited messages.
- Checks. We check every referral for signs that it isn’t genuine, using the details described in our privacy policy. Some referrals are reviewed by a member of our team before the reward is chosen, which can take a few days.
- Withholding a reward. If we reasonably believe a referral breaks these terms, isn’t genuine or involves fraud, we can refuse the reward, cancel unused credit, ask for cash to be returned, or stop your link and code from working. If an order behind a referral is refunded or charged back, we can do the same. We’ll tell you if we do any of this.
- Limits. We may limit the number of rewards one person can receive. If we introduce a limit, we’ll show it on this page before it applies to you.
- Changes and ending the scheme. We can change or end the scheme at any time. We’ll update this page first, and changes won’t affect referrals that already counted under the previous terms. If we end the scheme, you can still open any reward you’d already earned.
- Your rights. These terms don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
